How about spending your 21st birthday among the ice and beautiful snowy landscapes of Chile’s El Colorado mountain range and finding a beautiful horse almost frozen in the cold and snow and in need of rescue! Truth or fiction?
It’s a true story! Yes, it’s an incredible story told by Rafael Pease, a young man from South America who decided to abruptly interrupt his ski trip in the breathtaking snow of the Chilean winter to save a poor horse that, without Rafael’s help, might not have survived!
When he suddenly sees the horse stuck in the snow, Rafael cautiously approaches the horse, so as not to frighten him …
And, to give the horse a way out, Rafael began shovelling snow around the horse, which was cold and stuck in the snow that covered its four legs to its hindrle.
With the horse in need of food for his sustenance, Rafael decided to give him the chickpeas he had brought with him to feed himself.
With the help of his friends and a few locals, Rafael was able to guide the horse with a rope to the village of Farellones, an area populated by the Chilean Andes mountain range located below the El Colorado ski area.
… And in the village of Farellones, the owner of the horse has been found! And the man later revealed to Rafael that the horse had been lost for 4 days!
